Bellamy Brothers Newsletter (March 09)

Howdy Everybody, Glad you stopped by to visit the website,,,,,ok so there’s a recession going on but lets stay optimistic and try to still have a little fun this year,,,,one way you can do that is to come out to see us on tour,,,,,,just check our schedule for the show nearest you and when you show up we promise to play a lot of hits and take your mind off the problems of the world for the evening.

Our year got started off right when we played ‘’Dallas Red River’’ in the Big D. to a sold out crowd on New Years Eve and we continued to have capacity crowds New Years weekend all across Texas.

We’ve been to Pa. and Va., then back to Texas and Louisiana, then we got to California just in time for the floods and almost got snowed in up at Big Bear and then came down to Mesa Az. just in time for another big weather event. The great part of our schedule so far is that we played shows in Florida for three weekends in a row and got to sleep in our own beds. We haven’t done that in a while and Howard even had enough time to plant a Spring Garden that hopefully will have ripe vergetables when we return from our Eruopean Tour.

Speaking of Europe, we have two tours in the first half of 09. The first one takes us to Zurich Switzerland for three shows and to Stuttgardt Germany for two shows. We’ll also be doing doing three shows in Germany for the Brave men and women of the U.S. Military while were there. (be sure to check schedule on our Website for exact dates and times for all shows).

Upon returing to the States, we’ll land in Arizona and do a show with Diamond Rio at Country Thunder. There’s a lot of very big name Country acts on that show so also check that one on the Website and The Official Country Thunder site.

We’ll be heading to Mn. And Wisconsin after that and then we come back to Florida for a show at the Dallas Bull in Tampa. (My two oldest sons, Jesse and Noah will also be performing with us at the BULL).

There’s a bunch of Texas shows in April and as always we’re looking forward to all the friends and fans that have always been so supportive of us in Texas for the past thirty four years.

Speaking of Loyal Fans, we’ll be back in Europe from May 1st till May 16th doing shows all over Scandanavia, then a quick trip back to Switzerland for one show in mid May and then over to perform for all the folks in the Faroe Islands, (another favorite spot of ours to visit).

We had a very interesting thing happen in the Fall of 08 in the U.K. (England, Ireland, Scottland). The Barclays Card, which is a major credit card there, used ‘’Let Your Love Flow’’ in a very interesting commercial and the song came back on the Music Week National Charts and went into the Top 20 again after being #1 there 33 years ago. We’d like to thank Barclays for using the song and you can check the commercial out on Utube or the link on our site.

Don’t forget we’ll be in Branson Mo. In Sept./Oct. 09 for five weeks at The Welk Theater, we’ll give you more info in the next newletter but check the dates on the schedule and make plans to join us there.

2010 is our 35th anniversary of our first #1 his (Let Your Love Flow released in the Fall of 1975), Howard and I have been recording a lot of new songs for a couple of projects at our Studio in Florida with our Guitar Player and (ICE ROAD TRUCKER) Randy Hiebert, (inside joke for the band).

The album is an Anthology of our first 35 years and should be out later this year or early next year and we’re working on another Gospel Album that’ll probably be out later next year. We’ve also been working on a book that’ll be published in 2010 for our anniversary. So there’s lots of stuff in the works and we hope to be able to share it with you, at our live shows and through the new music and book release. Happy Trails and we hope to see you soon.

Until the next time, Peace and Love

Howard and David, (The Bellamy Brothers)
